My work traverses the overlapping disciplines of art, architecture and design.

Integrating art and dynamic installations into our architectural environments and public spaces helps to convey the layered richness of place, adding beauty, intrigue and impact for each visitor and each community.

Hatchlings

A multi-location public art installation created to encourage exploration and connection across Boston parks and provide an experiential destination during the coldest months of the year.

Descent

This four part installation is inspired by a submarine built in 1908 at the Fore River Shipyard in Quincy, MA, called "The Octopus," featuring a 40’ interactive wall where visitors can play with and alter the content with movement and gestures. The installation also features overhead sculptures and a giant window projection that casts patterns and shapes on to the outdoor plaza each night.

Visual Voyage

An interactive light wall programmed with colorful animations that dance across the map, mimicking the sun's path as it travels along the axis. Viewers can connect via smartphone to interact with the installation’s lights by moving them east or west.

Bio

I have always believed there is a strong link between our physical environment and our state of mind, but am now becoming increasingly aware of the many ways public art can actively empower individuals and communities with agency, voice, and choice. By focusing the perceived value of art from object to experience, the measure of success is determined not by the outside world, but by the individual visitor's personal experience.

With a bachelor's degree in art, and a master’s degree in architecture, my body of work traverses the overlapping disciplines of art, architecture and design. Over the past 10 years, my work has grown in scale and complexity, and has led to a specialization in creative technologies, and a deeper understanding of architecturally integrated artworks, and the particular considerations necessary for work designed to be displayed in the public realm, both temporary and permanent.

In 2018 I founded Studio HHH, expanding my art practice to a design studio where I, with a small team of creatives, execute commissions and awarded projects.
